Full day in Rovinj, Croatia

Today we didn't rush out of the room. We didn't have a long todo list today!  We had breakfast that we had bought the day before at the grocery store (pastry, banana and yogurt) and then set off. First stop was to get a good pic of the town (too sunny yesterday afternoon).  Today was also a beautiful sunny day (but light is better in the morning)

 

 Then we were still a bit hungry so we went to the outdoor market and bought 2 apples and ate them down by the water. 

We wanted to rent bikes so we walked to the tourist info to get a bike map. By this time it was about 10:30 or 11:00 and we had seen a few people with gelato so we decided to partake!

Then we went and got our bikes!  Rick Steves had a tip in his book that while a ton of tourist places around town rent bikes, the city has a subsidized bike rental place in the town parking g lot. We were able to get the bikes there for a quarter of the price of the bikes elsewhere. We love a good deal!

We set off around the peninsula (about a half hour bike ride). At every turn there were rocky beaches and incredible views!

 

We thought there was a restaurant at the end of the bike trail but it was closed so we had to pedal half way back to find somewhere to eat. We found a decent pizza place!

 

 Then we went back to some of the beaches we saw earlier.
