day 2 - Lake Bled
We woke up around 8am this morning. We had an awesome breakfast at our hotel. My absolutely favourite thing to do is look at different foods in other countries! So we enjoyed looking at all of the different breakfast foods and condiments!

But my favourite part of breakfast was the toaster! The toaster would throw the toast a foot into the air! It would land somewhere nearby. Our entertainment was watching people using this toaster! So funny! Everyone who made toast would end up cracking up!

The weather was looking nice and it wasn't supposed to stay like that so we got moving quickly to head to the castle.

After that it still hadn't started to rain so we decided to brace the life. Here is a picture of the luge track from the other side of the lake.

It's a ski hill in the winter. You take a ski lift to the top.
From the lift

These are some of the interesting selections you wouldn't find in Canada!
We had no idea what the red tube was or even how to open it! We tried many things to get it open. Finally when Trev used a knife to try to pry the metal clip off the end it burst. Turns out to be a spreadable cheese similar to the triangle one above. Quite tasty!
Other highlights of breakfast. The high tech coffee machine:

It's about a 25 minute hike up very steep stairs. When we got to the top we weren't sure it was worth it to pay the 10 euros to get into the castle but it was the only way to see the views!

I wasn't 100% sure if I wanted to do the luge. But we met a man from Minnesota at the castle. He said he wasn't doing the luge, but we were young so we had to do it. So we did! You could actually control the speed with a lever and go from out put speed to barrelling down the hill (top speeds about 40km/hr). Both Trev and I went as fast as we could stand and it was really fun!

The rest of this day to come in a separate post because this one is getting too big and taking forever to save each time!
OMG...that Luge- is huge - and looks like so much fun ! You'll never regret trying something like that - awesome ! Bled looks beautiful...I want to do this trip !!!
