Jasper to Banff
We are going to have to do a backwards post again because I'm exhausted and the pics came in backwards!
Trev's photo dump
The boys both bought hats and Anna has been desperate for one but we've only seen the most horrible kids hats! Today we saw a roots and Anna loves this hat which glows in the dark!
We tried to find some cupcakes yesterday and had no luck. Today we decided that Birthday Beaver Tails are just as good as birthday cake!
I had brought these cupcake toppers from an anime show Owen likes so they ended up being Beaver Tail Toppers!
We had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and it was excellent. Our dinners all came with ice cream. The toppers went on the ice cream also!
Root beer floats with dinner!
These next pics are from Moraine Lake in the Lake Louise area. The snow in the area was so crazy. It had crystalized like this and when you stepped on it it turned into tiny ice shards that were so satisfying to walk through. The kids had so much fun playing with the ice shards! This is what it looked like before you crushed them.
Once they were crushed.

These ground squirrels were cute! They looked like big beefy chipmunks
Owen with a ground squirrelI was a bit disappointed that this lake was still frozen because I wanted to see the bright blue/green colour but we had so much fun playing with the ice, it was worth it!
These were some funny jello things the kids convinced me to buy that we saw at the grocery store. At $1.29 for a bag of them, they were worth a try! They were pretty gross! Haha!
We did the sky walk which was part of the Columbia Ice Fields Glacier experience. From the skywalk we could see mountain goats and we had so much fun watching them. They are truly insane, clinging to the edge of the mountain!
Both Trev and I found the skywalk (glass bottomed walkway high above the ground) terrifying. I was literally shaking and holding on for dear life. All 3 kids didn't care at all and were jumping and had a blast!
The sky walk from a distance
Now the pics from the glacier! It was really cool. We had fun filling our water bottles with glacier water. The buses that take you there are insane! They go down a 36 degree hill (and then back up the hill) and it is super weird and scary!
Owen saw a guy splash glacier water on his face so decided to try it!
Getting glacier water in our water bottles!
Going down the hill!
We once again were desperate to see a grizzly on the drive! We ended up seeing a car pulled over and we were too far before we realized there was a bear. We caught a quick glimpse of it before we were too far to see him. I had my camera ready to go (at all times for all 4 hours of driving today! haha!) so I somehow managed this pic even though we literally saw him for about 0.1 seconds! Not sure if it was a grizzly or a black bear.
And these last pics are from before we left Jasper. Owen's birthday morning. This is a 1kg bag of Owen's favourite candy, which he calls: Berry Bois (Berry Boys). He also got a tech deck skateboard toy. The rest of the gifts had to stay at home.

It's almost 11pm. We just finished a load of laundry. We are heading to bed now. 3 more days left!
