Today we took the slow vaparetto boat along the Grand Canal. I read the Rick Steves Tour along the way which the kids found super embarrassing! 😂
We got to St Mark’s square and toured the cathedral. The kids liked going up on the balcony the best!
We then spent some time in St Mark’s Square pigeon watching and headed to a tour of the Clock Tower!
We got to go inside and check out the workings of this clock from the 1400s. Pretty crazy to think that we all have watches and phones and back in the 1400s, this is what it took to be able to see the time!
The views from the top of the clock tower were amazing!

After this we walked to a restaurant called Rosspomodorro for lunch.
Bread with olive oil and balsamic!
The pizza was so good. Honestly a 10/10 for sure!

After lunch Owen really wanted to go up the Campanile so we did that for more views of Venice!
At this point it was about 2:30pm so we just decided to wander back to our airBNB, browsing along the way!
Of course we had to get some gelato!
We walked to the Rialto Bridge
Now we are just taking a rest at our AirBNB we plan to go to St Mark’s tonight when it’s dark!
